Getting Started

For anyone using WP2Amparex on their WordPress site.
This page provides an overview of what the plugin does and what it doesn't do.

What WP2Amparex Does

WP2Amparex integrates the Amparex API directly into your WordPress site and
displays a multi-step booking wizard there:

  1. Select a branch – is automatically skipped if there is only one branch.
  2. Appointment Category Select—for example, „Initial Consultation," „Hearing Aid Fitting," „Service.".
  3. Wish Advisor Select (optional, can be disabled).
  4. Slot Select in the weekly calendar—the "free/busy" status is read in real time from Amparex.
  5. Reservation Form including title, first and last name, email, phone number, and comment.
  6. Confirmation email for end customers, plus an admin email to the store.

The appointment is then automatically added to the Amparex client interface and

Skip branch selection via link

If a website uses separate landing pages for individual stores, the
The first step of the wizard can be skipped if desired. To do this, the

You don't have to create the finished links by hand. In WordPress, you can find

The branch list is displayed, just like the normal first step of the wizard, via the
WP2 Amparex cache loaded. Therefore, after changes are made to branches in Amparex,
Click on Clear Cache might be useful in the plugin settings.

What WP2Amparex Isn't For

  • Event Management in WordPress. The plugin does not manage appointments in the
    WordPress backend; Amparex is always the source of truth.
  • Customer Master Data in WordPress. No customer data is stored in the
    WordPress database that goes beyond the booking form.
  • Payment feature. There is no checkout or payment step.

Prerequisites

  • WordPress 6.0 or later
  • PHP 7.4 or later (Recommended: PHP 8.0+)
  • Amparex API Access Your client's: API URL, client ID, user
    and password. If you're unsure, Amparex Support can help.
