Installation and License

Here's how to perform a clean installation of WP2Amparex and activate the license.
If you're upgrading from an older version of Freemius, see also
Update Path: Freemius to EDD.


1. Upload the plugin

  1. In the WordPress admin panel: Plugins → Install → Upload plugin.
  2. The wp2amparex-booking-tool-vX.Y.Z.zip Select the ones you want via
    isla-stud.io received
    have, and on Install Now Click.
  3. Afterward Activate Plugin.

In the backend, the menu item will then appear on the left WP2Amparex with its own
Icon (Calendar).

2. Configure Amparex API

  1. WP2Amparex → Settings → „Amparex API" tab".
  2. Sign up:
    • API URL Your client's (e.g.,. https://kunde.amparex.net/webapi/)
    • Client
    • Username and Password Technical API Access
  3. Save and click „Connection Test" (if available).

The login credentials are stored in wp_options saved. You should therefore

3. Add the booking shortcode

On the request page (e.g., „Book an Appointment"):

[wp2a_booking]

Save, open the page, and the wizard should start with the branch step
(or directly using the appointment category, if there is only one branch)
Start.

4. Enter the license

  1. WP2Amparex → License & Updates.
  2. Your Key to the Field license key Enter.
  3. On Activate the license Click.

This is what success looks like:

  • Progress bar green, Name „Active".
  • Update Channel: „EDD / isla-stud.io".
  • Last check: current date.

Future updates will then appear automatically in the default WordPress plugin—
Updater—just like with any other plugin.

What happens if you don't have a license?

The plugin does not lock features behind a license; the key controls
exclusively whether you install future versions via the WordPress Updater
receive.

5. Email signature with logo

In the tab Emails you can add text to the customer email and the
Edit the signature using the WordPress editor. There is intentionally no option for logos.
„Not the "Insert Image" button in the editor, but a separate signature logo.

How to use it:

  1. Under Logo for Email Signature Select an image.
  2. A width between 40 and 600 Set pixels.
  3. In the signature, the placeholder {{logo}} Place it in the desired location.
  4. Save the settings and make a test booking.

Accepted formats are PNG, JPEG and GIF. SVG and WebP will be
not supported because they do not work in some email clients, especially Outlook,
displayed correctly. If no valid logo is selected,
{{logo}} replaced with an empty value in the signature.

The placeholder is used only in Your email signature replaced. In the general
Text additions to customer emails remain {{logo}} plain text.

6. First Test Booking

  1. In the Incognito Window Open your booking page.
  2. Click through the entire wizard until you reach the Confirmation Page.
  3. Check in Amparex, whether the appointment has been confirmed.
  4. Confirmation email Check the mailbox you're using.

Tip: For tests in Amparex, create a separate schedule category called „WP2A Test"
Set it up so that test bookings do not overlap with actual client appointments
stand.


Common Pitfalls

  • „Clear WP2Amparex Cache" – if you have stores, employees, categories
    or make changes to templates in Amparex, but the front end still displays the old versions,
    see Clear Cache and Diagnostics.
  • „Check for plugin updates now" – when a new WP2Amparex release
    has been released, but it doesn't appear in the WordPress Updater yet
    displays. The button only rechecks the EDD update channel and does not delete any
    Amparex data.
  • No available slots visible – a common configuration issue in Amparex
    (Employees not authorized to make online reservations, incorrect
    Resource descriptions, missing branch assignments).
  • Confirmation emails are not being received – check whether WordPress is even
    Emails sent (e.g., using the „WP Mail Logging" plugin); WP2Amparex uses
    the WordPress email feature.
