Hanover Animal Shelter
Since its relaunch at the end of May, the platform has seen a significant increase in visibility. From June to July, Google impressions rose by 54 percent.
Architecture, Development, and OperationsI designed and implemented the entire system—from the animal directory to events and newsletters to day-to-day operations. Bianka now handles recurring content reviews and lightens the team’s workload with documented processes and clear approval workflows.

What kinds of projects can you help us with?
When a platform becomes a bottleneck, a technical decision needs to be made, or AI is meant to take on a specific task. I combine independent advice with architecture, hands-on development and integration into existing systems.
Do you only advise, or do you also implement solutions?
Both. I can conduct a focused review, prepare a recommendation, or work with your team to develop a technical solution. We’ll specify in the engagement agreement which responsibilities I’ll take on and which tasks your team will continue to handle.
What does working with you cost, and how do we start?
That depends on the question, the scope of the system and the support required. An initial conversation helps us agree on the right starting point. Before work begins, we agree on scope, deliverables and fees. A review does not commit you to a subsequent implementation project.
Do we need to replace our existing systems or service providers?
No. First, I'll assess what's already in place and identify the problem. A targeted integration or phased modernization may make more sense than switching systems. Your in-house team and existing service providers can remain part of the collaboration.
When is AI useful — and what happens to our data?
AI requires a specific task and a verifiable benefit. We clarify data, access rights, costs, error scenarios, and human approvals before deploying the system in production. If a simpler automation solution can handle the task more effectively, it should be included in the comparison. Please do not send any sensitive data or login credentials during your initial contact.
Who handles operations and further development after launch?
Operations, documentation, responsibilities, and handover are all part of the planning process. We will explicitly agree on whether your team will take over, whether I will continue to provide support, or whether other service providers will be brought in. The solution should remain understandable to the people who will be working with it afterward.
What does Forward Deployed Engineer mean in your work?
A Forward Deployed Engineer works closely with the client team—from the specific business problem to the architecture and on to technical integration. For me, that means I don’t just provide advice; I develop the solution myself and take into account the systems in which it must operate.
What does Forward Deployed Advisor mean in your work?
I use the term “Forward Deployed Advisor” to describe my advisory role directly within the corporate context. I work with management and teams to define goals, evaluate technical options, and support decision-making. In doing so, I take into account actual processes, dependencies, and implementation possibilities.
What does Hybrid Builder mean in your work?
A Hybrid Builder combines business understanding with hands-on technical implementation. In my work, that means international management and product experience, full-stack development and applied AI. I can translate between business teams and engineering — and build the solution myself.
