I’m Saskia Teichmann, an independent systems architect, full-stack developer, and technical writer. My career path has taken me from international management and product scouting to the development of platforms, integrations, and AI agent systems. Today, I advise executives and teams—and develop the technical solutions myself.
From international business to building my own software.
For me, business acumen and technical work are not separate disciplines. They have grown together throughout my career.
Product scouting and supporting senior management
After that, I worked for an international company as a product scout and executive assistant. This involved a lot of travel, including trips to the Housewares Show in Chicago and the Canton Fair in Guangzhou.
Since 2009: Freelance front-end development
I started my own business as a front-end developer in the WordPress ecosystem. My work on websites gradually led to increasingly complex online stores, interfaces, and custom extensions.
Growing into full-stack development
My area of expertise expanded from front-end development to databases, APIs, system architecture, and server operations. WordPress and WooCommerce represent a particular area of technical depth, but they are not the limits of my expertise.
Since 2023: AI-assisted development with Cursor
With Cursor, AI-assisted development has become part of my daily work routine. My own development experience remains the foundation for evaluating suggestions and taking responsibility for the code.
Since December 2025: Working with agent systems
Working with AI agents has fundamentally changed how I work. With my Agents Brain, I continue to develop the way project knowledge, memory, rules and human approvals work together.
Forward Deployed Engineer, Advisor and Hybrid Builder.
These terms describe different aspects of my work: providing consulting that is closely aligned with business challenges, building technical solutions myself, and working with the people who use and operate them.
Forward Deployed Engineer
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, Saskia Teichmann combines strategy and business understanding with system architecture and hands-on development: she works on the company’s specific problem, develops the technical solution herself or provides technical guidance to existing teams and individuals as they implement it.
Forward Deployed Advisor
I use the term “Forward Deployed Advisor” to describe my advisory role directly within the corporate context. I work with management and teams to define goals, evaluate technical options, and support decision-making. In doing so, I take into account actual processes, dependencies, and implementation possibilities.
Hybrid Builder
Hybrid Builder describes the combination of business understanding and hands-on technical work: I bridge business and engineering, develop solutions myself or provide technical guidance to existing teams and individuals. In my work, that means international management and product experience, full-stack development and applied AI.
