Clear Cache and Diagnostics

Rule of thumb: If, after an update or a configuration change in

What the Cache Is For

WP2Amparex does not ask Amparex for store locations every time you click,
Categories, employees, or templates. Instead, these lists are
temporarily cached (via the WordPress Transients API),
to ensure that your booking page remains fast and that the Amparex API isn't unnecessarily

Clearing the Cache – Here's How

Diagnostic Tools

Built-in Debug Window

Under WP2Amparex → Settings can be found in one part of the
Debug Mode Activate. You will then see on the booking page
(and/or in the admin panel) Additional notes:

  • Overview of all branches and employees visible in Amparex
  • Online/Offline Status by Resource
  • Freebusy Tester, which you can use to select a specific employee or
    Room ID can be used to check directly whether, for a selected time slot,
    Slots are delivered as „free"

Please turn off debug mode again for live production –
It is intended as a diagnostic mode, not for end users.

Browser Console (for tech-savvy users)

If the wizard gets stuck:

  1. F12 key / Right-click → Examine → Tab Console
  2. Copy the red error (typical examples: wp2a_get_* AJAX call
    fails, JSON parsing error, insufficient permissions)
  3. "Additionally" tab Network: the calls to admin-ajax.php show the

When flushing the cache isn't enough

Try the following, one by one:

  1. Clear the WordPress Object Cache (if a caching plugin is installed,
    (e.g., WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, LiteSpeed Cache, FastCGI Cache).
  2. Clear the browser cache or directly in the Incognito Window test.
  3. Check License Status under WP2Amparex → License & Updates – one
    An expired key prevents updates; no behavior in the
    Reservation.
  4. If you encounter update issues in the same tab Check for plugin updates now
    Click.
  5. API credentials Save again in the settings – one
    An accidental space at the beginning or end is a common cause
    for „Connection failed.".
  6. Check Client Configuration: are the human resources
    Has Amparex been enabled for online appointment booking? Are the
    Local resources with Location_…Are the -tags linked correctly?

PHP version, WP2Amparex version, and (if possible) a screenshot.
