Branch/Advisor Images and Order

This page describes optional image mapping and manual
Order of branch and advisor tiles in the booking wizard.

Status

The image feature has been available since 2.3.0 Part of the EDD mainline. The manual

If the section Branches & Advisors not visible in your installation
If so, first check the version of WP2Amparex that is installed and the

Purpose

WP2Amparex can display custom images from the
Display the WordPress Media Library and the order of these tiles on the front end
control.

If no image is assigned, the behavior remains the same as before: The plugin displays
the appropriate FontAwesome icon. The icons use the ones in the tab Design
Selected accent color.

Where is the mapping maintained?

In the WordPress admin panel:

  1. WP2Amparex → Amparex & Scheduling Logic Open.
  2. Go to the section Branches & Advisors scroll.
  3. Optional: Sort entries with the handle icon using drag-and-drop, or use
    High / Down move.
  4. Optional: At a branch or with an advisor: Select an image Click.
  5. Select an image from the WordPress media library.
  6. Save settings.

For each entry, the plugin displays:

  • Name from Amparex
  • For stores, the address
  • for consultants, the corresponding branches
  • Amparex ID for identification
  • Image preview or icon fallback
  • Handle icon and buttons for the order
  • Buttons for editing or deleting

Order in the Front End

The order is stored separately for branches and advisors.

  • The branch order determines the location selection in the first
    Posting step.
  • The advisor order controls which advisors are displayed when
    Visitors can select their preferred advisor.
  • New entries from Amparex for which no location has been saved yet
    If they exist, they are displayed after the entries that have already been sorted.

The order is not saved until an entry is actually moved

Image Display

In the admin area

If no image is selected, a FontAwesome icon appears:

  • Branches: fas fa-store
  • Consultants: fas fa-user

When an image is selected, the preview uses its own
WordPress intermediate size:

  • Source file: 200 × 200 px, cut close
  • Visible admin preview: 96 × 72 px
  • Description: object-fit: cover

This ensures that the preview does not appear even on high-resolution displays
appears unnecessarily blurry.

In the front end

In the booking wizard, the selected image replaces the previous icon in the
the respective tile.

If no image has been added or an image does not load in the browser
If possible, the plugin automatically displays the default icon again. The previous
Icons will therefore remain as a fallback.

Procedure for Changes to Client or Login Information

Image mapping is tied to stable Amparex entities:

  • Branches are assigned based on their Amparex branch ID.
  • Consultants are assigned based on their Amparex Resource ID.
  • The assignment is also stored separately for each connected client.

The client namespace is not based on the technical Amparex username.
If a client has new technical login credentials or a new API user
is retained, the image mappings therefore remain intact as long as the same
The Amparex system remains connected to the same client ID.

WP2Amparex uses the most reliable information available for client identification
From the Amparex branch data:

  1. Sales Tax ID (vatNumber)
  2. Commercial Registry Data
  3. Tax ID Number
  4. Posting Client (bookMandator)
  5. Company Name (name1)
  6. Main Branch ID

If a completely different client is connected, the previous ones will appear
Image mappings are not in this client. However, they are not automatically
Deleted.

Branches or advisors being eliminated

The admin list is generated from the stores currently supplied by Amparex and
Resources have been built up.

If a branch or advisor no longer appears in the Amparex database:

  • The entry will no longer appear as a selection option in the backend.
  • No tile appears in the front end, and therefore no image appears either.
  • The saved mapping is retained internally.
  • If the same Amparex ID appears again later, image mapping and
    Restores the saved order, provided it is still available in the setup.

Security and Data Source

Only WordPress attachment IDs are stored; custom IDs are not stored.
