citelayer® – AI SEO & Visibility
Formats WordPress content to be machine-readable and distinguishes between local AI crawler signals and AI referral signals: llms.txt, Markdown, Schema.org, content signals, and bot analytics.

Technical Infrastructure for AI-Readable Content
citelayer® extends WordPress with machine-readable outputs and local diagnostics. These include llms.txt, Markdown endpoints, Schema.org data, Content Signal headers, and discovery metadata for UCP and WebMCP.
Treat crawlers and actual links separately
The local bot analytics module logs detected AI crawler requests. AI referrals are tracked separately when a browser with a known referrer or UTM signal accesses the website. This ensures that crawling, external visibility, and actual visits are not reported as the same signal.
Control Within Your Own WordPress
- Data remains in the WordPress database; there is no external tracking account.
- By default, old bot data is purged after 90 days.
- Compatibility modes prevent duplicate schema or llms.txt outputs alongside popular SEO plugins.
- WooCommerce and EDD content can be included in the machine-readable outputs.
These technical features facilitate discovery and analysis. They do not guarantee rankings, citations, recommendations, or measurable visits in AI search systems.
